Day 4 Sailing Lessons | Docking & C.O.B. Exhaustion |Episode 36 | Travel Life with Proteus Rising

In this episode (36), We leave Port Hadlock, heading for a final destination of Kingston, WA. Before leaving, however, we need to get better at docking. Once in the open water, we drill repeatedly on Crew Overboard! Exercises. We have some special wildlife treats, which get us stupor excited and find that sailing is super hard work and our boat has special challenges.

Special thanks to Captain Wooly and her Shearwater University.

Please note this video was recorded well before the Coronavirus Pandemic.

What is this channel all about? We bought a blue-water sailboat; sold our house; bought an RV and now we’re going from land to sea and all around the world. This is our journey.

Thanks to those who asked about us starting a Patreon. We’d love it if you also joined the Proteus Rising Pack: Get bonus content including our Deep Dive series where we show all the How-Tos and DIY projects we’re doing to make Travel Life happen.

Come follow the adventure from the beginning:

[How to live your dreams to travel the United States and the world full time.]

Who we are: We are Casz & Greg, empty nesters, Gen Xers, Adventure-Seeking Explorers, along with our two pups, Kola & Sprite. We bought a sailboat, sold our house, and bought an RV.  Now as constant travelers, we split our time between Sailboat and RV.  This YouTube series documents all of it, from the dream to reality. Come with us as we venture from land to sea and all around the world. #digitalnomads

We left the chains of the corporate-sponsored suburban lifestyle, said goodbye to our mortgage, the golden handcuffs jobs, and are living a life that lets us see the world on our own terms. #alternativeliving

Chapter Five: On The Gerbil Wheel – Goodbye Chickens; Hello Bayfield 36! Proteus Rising – Book One

Did you miss us? Sorry for the delay; our summer has been jam packed of everything but video editing. But back at it with this episode and the next is already in production!

We feel so blessed that you’re still coming back for more. We adore you, dear viewer, for being excited about our adventure. Or, maybe you’re just waiting for us to fall overboard. Regardless, you’re here. Thank you.

In this episode, the emotion of having a dream and working towards it kind of gets to us and we slow down the boat search. But, then the universe has other ideas. In between we tell you what kind of boat we want and why.

By this time you recognize we’re pretty honest and simple folks, but like to have fun. Hope you’re having fun watching this. Although the video story is months and months behind, you can keep up with our real-time updates on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

As always we ask that you like, comment, share, and subscribe! Ring the bell and you won’t miss our next episode!
