Chapter 17 – No Room In The Marina! Proteus Rising (Travel Life) – Book One (Buy A Boat)

In this episode, we learn that we’re behind the power curve in finding a marina for SV Elli so we can finish our refit. Finding space in the greater Seattle area, which is called the recreational boating capital of the nation, is proving to be a seemingly impossible mission. So we also start to look for moorage up near Vancouver, B.C. where we’ll be cruising extendedly for a few years while our son is at University. We also update you on our plans and introduce you to a couple of our sailing mentors.

Nothing like having your boat 100 miles away and get a phone call that the keys are missing and no one can find your vessel!

In this episode Tank decides on which university he will attend as a college football player, we begin the massive job of purging our suburban life, and then make another quick run for boat work, because we were notified they moved the boat, didn’t know where it was, nor could they locate the keys!

The Pack That Comes Together…Is Stronger!

Kola and Sprite are so glad you’re here!

Happy May Day! Spring is in the air! It’s a time of change and growth. And we’re feeling that given today marks our official launch of our Patreon Page. We weren’t sure when we were going to do this or even if we should, but when some folks elbowed us and said, “Hey, why aren’t you doing this?” We figured it was time.

Right now, even as our page numbers are small, we plan to put out some bonus footage right here frequently. We’re targeting once a week, but travel plans can sometimes inhibit that; also, episode production is priority. Kola and Sprite will tell you that long walks are also a priority — whether they be in the forest, the beach, or up a mountain.
